Subway Temper Tantrum Commercial - How Ridiculous!
Here is the most recent subway commercial currently airing on television. I posted this video on the site because of a very angry Subwayscam forum member who decided to never eat at another Subway restaurant after watching this commercial. CLICK HERE TO VIEW HIS ORIGINAL COMPLAINT
It is the commercial where mom, dad and son are passing a Subway restaurant and dad has a temper tantrum because he wants to try the new Big Philly Cheesesteak sandwhich. Mom calmly explains that their son is late for soccer practice, and his son tells him to "grow up".

First, this new Subway commercial is just part of a trend that is plainly disgusting. Whatever happened to the days when dads were held out as positive examples? Men nowadays are most often seen on TV as dolts, lardbutts, doofuses who need correcting by their kids, guys who are more often than not led by testosterone than intellect. Sadly, it appears from TV that the male of BLEEP sapiens has not advanced as far as his wife and that his kids have even advanced beyond him.
Second, you hardly ever, if not never, see women portrayed as the childish dolt who needs correcting by the kids. I'm not much for watching sitcoms but when I do I can tell that in any family setting the mother is the wisest one, the kids are smart and shrewd and the dad is the idiot foil that has to be taught by everyone else in the show. Imagine if you would the outcry against Subway if their commercial showed the mom as the childish idiot who is scorned by dad and kids.
I can tell you that one of the most common concerns amohng men is that no matter how hard you try to be a good father and set an example for your kids, the popular culture plays against you by telling everyone what kind of loser you are.
Frankly, I've let Subway know that they've lost me as a customer.

Is this really what Subway restaurant system has come to??? It really is incredible that with all the marketing dollars they take from their franchisees - this is the best we can get!!

i have not seen this commercial.
however, the latest subway commercial i've seen has a son asking his dad variations on "Can I, Dad?" repeatedly and his father standing strong and calmly saying, "No." As a parent I really related! Maybe they heard your comments and made up for the dad as dolt feelings. This dad is strong. I can't find any commentary about this commercial on the net anywhere though. I think it's good.

I couldn't stand that commercial from the moment I first saw it. Ever since then it has been a great annoyance to me and I'm glad that I haven't seen it on TV in quite a while.

This commercial is an example of what our society is turning into- a society run by "victims".. who think that it is o.k to make middle aged white men look like idiots. Oh well, Subway is losing market share fast with their crappy subs and filthy establishments. This commercial will not help their bottom line. It will hurt it!
